The Government of Romania, through the Ministry of Communications and Information Society (MCIS) has received a loan from the World Bank for financing the Knowledge Economy Project.
The project aims to support knowledge-driven activities at the national level, as well as directly within local communities, and in particular to accelerate the participation of knowledge disadvantaged communities in the knowledge economy and society. The Project will finance, among others, the establishment of 255 Local Communities e-Networks (LCeNs), through which communities will be offered access to knowledge through a number of services and technologies, including computers, the Internet and communication services and specific content provision for different target groups (citizens, businesses and pupils) in rural and small urban communities.
Within this framework, the Ministry of Communications and Information Society has established a Project Management Unit (PMU), who is responsible for coordinating and managing the activities related to the implementation of the Project.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Society, through the Project Management Unit (PMU) now invites eligible persons to send their CVs thus providing their interest for the following positions:
- e-Administration specialist (2 positions):
The CVs should provide information indicating that the persons are qualified to perform the respective jobs.

The PMU's members will be selected through comparison of qualifications of at least three candidates that meet the minimum relevant qualifications, in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s
Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, published by the World Bank in May 2004, Selection of Individual Consultants. The selected personnel to be employed by MCIS shall be the best qualified and fully capable of carrying out the assignment, and shall be invited for negotiations.
